New Blog Features

I recently added some new features to my blog.

First, at the bottom of the right sidebar you will now see a site meter tracking the number of visitors to the blog.

Just above that you’ll notice that I’ve signed up with Technorati. I figured it was already tracking my blog, so I might as well. If you have a Technorati account you can add my blog to your favorites with the link provided. And anyone can click on anther link right below it to see other blogs that link to mine.

Additionally, every single one of my posts now has a Technorati “blog reactions” link that shows the number of other blogposts (if any) linking to that particular post. If there is a number there (1 or more) you can click on the link and go to the other blogposts linking to mine.

Finally, I have made it so that long posts will be collapsed to show only a paragraph or three. If you start reading and are interested enough to continue, just click on the “Read more…” link. When you’re done you can click on the “Collapse Post” link. This new functionality will make skimming over all of the posts on the main page and in the archives a lot easier. Here‘s where I got the code and instructions that make it possible.

Enjoy!
